Dottie in the Snow!!!

Juliet set a little challenge a while back to try to use all the different Dottie (& George of course) download images. There is no time limit to this so I thought I'd try to play along. LOL..didn't quite realise how many images I had until I listed them all today. Slowly but surely I will work my way through them.
SO...next is Dottie in the Snow, another image I coloured in last night. Used up the scrap of red Dottie paper from this mornings card....well it matched Dottie wellies so perfectly! I played along with the sketch on Challenge Ismaki for this one. Not too sure of the final result, looks too busy and cluttered but I had fun making it anyway.

Here is the sketch;

and here is my card;

A Dottie Template Challenge.

I haven't had the time (or mojo) to join in many challenges recently but I am trying to catch up for a bit of lost time today....it's those Prismacolors that have done it you know!

I coloured a few images last night and today I have managed to make another Christmas card - this time using the wonderful inspiration over on Dotties World! This week (challenge #8) is a template.

...and here is what I came up with.

One Ferdy= 2 challenges!!!!

Well - what with the arrival of my Prismacolor pencils yesterday, it would have been very rude not have tried them out. Joanne kindly sent me a few paper stumps to try out but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get any Sansodor.......so I have been using a Boots Lavender massage oil!!!!! LOL.......so crafting has been particuarly relaxing eh!!

I need to get my crafty backside into gear and find my mojo again so what better way than this weeks Dare! I used Ferdy Snow Frog again....I have had such fun with this stamp-thank you Nikki. I also wanted to try my first attempt at a frame card....I searched the land of blog and found a tutorial I saw back in March for Papertake Weekly. Thank you to everyone for the inspiration!

Sympathy card , number 2!!!

Thank goodness these are done, the funeral is tomorrow so once again I have left it all to the last minute. It was all going to plan today (LOL...welll as much as it ever does in the Dingle household!) then some lovely crafters over on CBC very politely told me I had made some mistakes in the wording (!!) so I had to quickly salvage my first card before I started on the next one!

Anyway, I can now cross them off my list and get on with something a bit more enjoyable. I think I may need to update my "to do list!"

Sympathy cards!!!!

After the death of my Uncle recently I have got a couple of Sympathy cards at the top of my "to do list!" Not great to make at the best of times and I am really struggling with them. I started one yesterday and today I have assembled it. Not at al sure about it, but I think that's typical with Sympathy cards....isn't it? I have kept it quite plain apart from the paper, hopefully the words say it all!

More Ferdy pics for DewDrop Craftz

Just completed my second card using the 'Ferdy' Snow Frog stamp from DewDrop Craftz Again I used several images to decoupage the design, and because I was trying to make the design quite girlie I had a good excuse to go mad with lots of glittery, pearlescent paints and glitter glues.

DewDrop Craftz- 'Ferdy' Snow Frog

Well on Friday my first stamp arrived from Nikki as part of DewDrop Craftz design team. When I first saw the stamp I wondered what to do with it first but started stamping straight away! I finished my first card yesterday and today stamped and coloured a few more images ready for my next project.

Ferdy will by July Stamp of the month over on DewDrop Craftz so you will be seeing a bit more of him over the next few weeks....I have loads of ideas to try out yet.

Here is a little snippet of my first card. I stamped the image twice and layered the little frog, as well as the the Snow Frog's googly eyes. I loved playing around with the detail on this card, especially building up layers of Glossy Accents for bulbous eyes, stippling liquid pearls for a "fluffy" effect on ear muffs, and of course liquid applique and a bit of irridescent glitter glue for the snow. So quirky, so fun - Thank you Nikki.

Cricket George!

Decided to use George for my dad's Father's Day card-he is cricket mad....amongst other sports.

I really enjoyed making this card up-very little colouring to do either! I printed out 2 copies, cut out and layered the first and used the second to add more dimension to his cricket pads.

How time flies!

Friday is almost upon us and I feel I have achieved absolutely nothing. I have managed to get a few jobs around the house done and made up some resources for Amelia's Speech & Language work...I love my laminator!!!

I have a bit of exciting news to share on the crafty front! As some of you may remember, a while back over on Crafts by Carolyn Nikki from DewDrop Craftz put out a callout for 2 Design Team members to use some of her exclusive stamps designed by a range of designers! I was lucky enough to be selected along with Sarah.

Today Nikki has emailed my to let me know the first stamp is in the post......whoooo hooo...I cannot wait to play....Thank you Nikki. No guesses what I will be doing at the weekend then!

Paper every where!!!

LOL...my vertical cropper hoppers arrived today so I am trying to organise some of my papers but I don't seem to be getting very far at the moment. In fact I gave up half way through to finish the Dotties World Challenge #5 that has been sitting on my desk since Sunday ! AS you can see I could not reisist treating myself to Lou's latest Xmas creations .

This weeks challenge was to make a card, using a Charmed Download, and include both stripes and stitching. I dragged out and dusted off my sewing maching for this one!

Long time, no craft!!

I have been feeling rather down recently, I think it's just one thing after another, lots of broken nights and having this "flu like" bug that just won't come out or shift. I know progress is being made in so many areas of my life but it seems like a tiny little drop in a huge ocean at the moment.

Anyway enough of my waffle. I can show you some progress that has been made to my little craft room.

I had an old spice shelf that I have been hanging onto since we moved here 10 years ago. Last year it got moved from the loft and into the craft room but it has sat on the side feeling rather unloved as until the room (and me) were more organised I never really knew what to use it for and where to put it. My darling hubby sanded it all down for me at the weekend and hung it in a little corner of the room by the window for me to start storing some of my mounted stamps. Up until now, most of my stamps were in a filing cabinet, but now I have freed up another 3 drawers to store my A4 paper or card.

Next on the list was lowering the make shift worktop I had just propped up (blush) under the window, it's still not 100% but it has cost us nothing as the worktop and wood were all just laying around in the garage waiting for a home! I wanted to use the space by the window to make the most of the natural light (and to gaze at the trees when I need inspiration!) but we had to work around a boxed in area over the stairs- I have now used that boxed in area to store my Cuttlebug and dies. Still a long way to go and my Cropper Hoppers haven't arrived yet, but progress has definately been made.

With all this going on in my little craft room and sand and a tonne of slate needing to be carried through to the back garden, I haven't found much time to actually craft! But yesterday I had a last minute order so I used this weeks Dottie's World challenge as inspiration.

This week it is a template- to include at least one download and at least one buttonb or brad!

Here is what I ended up with. This little Dottie has got to be one of my favs!!
